As the premier provider of African content in the US, the Africa Channel partnered with Soda & Lime, with me as Creative Director, to launch multiple brand initiatives, refine the channel brand, and help strategically reposition the network for a new generation.
Our first venture included celebrating the Spirit of Ubuntu and Nelson Mandela by launching the ‘Ubuntu Awards’. This annual awards ceremony honors and celebrates those who are instrumental in cultivating a world of peace, unity, and optimism. Creatively we were responsible for the logo, brand style, motion graphics, and collateral. In addition, we designed and developed the website for the awards and submissions.
Our second collaboration was Demand Africa; a new venture that celebrates and promotes afro-centric food, culture, and lifestyle entertainment exclusively online and through social media. Just like the Ubuntu Awards, the range of services included logo and brand style design to motion graphics implementation.
